According to statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), rollover accidents are the most serious type of auto accident. Rollover accidents lead to a higher death rate than any other type of motor vehicle accidents accounting for up to thirty three percent of all motor vehicle accident fatalities.

Rollover accident injuries can be caused by:

Driver Negligence - High-speed collisions account for five percent of all rollover accidents.  These accidents are also referred to as "non-tripped" rollover accidents.

Poor Highway & Roadside Maintenance -
Ninety five percent of rollover accidents are caused by "tripping" when the tires of a vehicle leave the hard pavement and hit soft soil, ditches, guardrails or other roadside barriers. This causes the car to roll onto its side or roof. If a road is damaged, if guardrails are broken, or if roadside maintenance could have prevented your accident, you may be entitled to compensation the responsible party.

Faulty Car Mechanics
- A number of vehicle defects and mechanical failures can lead to a rollover accident. Serious injuries or fatalities may be prevented by the safety features of a car, including air bags and seat belts. If your injuries could have been lessened or prevented by a properly functioning car part or safety device, the auto manufacturer may be liable.
